Compassionate therapy for overthinkers

How therapy can help

Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of your thoughts, and find clarity in the chaos. If you’ve been overwhelmed by overthinking, therapy can help you:

  • Understand how your past experiences and the stories you carry are influencing your present-day thoughts and feelings.

  • Gain deeper insight into your emotions, behaviors, and relationships, helping you break free from repetitive thinking patterns.

  • Develop self-compassion and curiosity towards your inner world, reducing self-criticism and promoting acceptance.

  • Learn practical, body-based tools for managing stress, calming your mind, and finding balance in moments of overwhelm.

  • Safely explore difficult or painful aspects of your story, allowing healing and growth to unfold.

  • Connect with the wisdom of your body to regulate your nervous system and feel more grounded.

  • Build self-belief and self-trust to confidently navigate life’s challenges and create lasting change.

 FAQs

  • Counselling sessions are charged at £60 per session.

  • Sessions are unlimited, so we can work together for as long as it feels helpful. This might be months or years.

  • Sessions together begin weekly. This allows us to build our relationship (a key part of successful therapy) as well as a momentum to our work together. Over time, it is possible to reduce this to fortnightly if this feels supportive.

  • All of our sessions are confidential. The only exceptions to this are if there is a serious concern for your or someone else’s safety or if there is a legal obligation to share information.

  • We can work together in person in Christchurch, Dorset, or via Zoom or over the phone.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes.

Taking the first step

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time. I’m here to support you through the process and make it as comfortable as possible. Here’s what you can expect:

1.

Book an introductory call

This is a relaxed, no-pressure call where you can ask any questions about therapy, share a little about what you’re facing, and find out if we’re a good fit. I’ll listen carefully and help you understand how I can support you.

2.

Book your first session

If it feels right to move forward, we can schedule your first session. Before our first meeting, I’ll send you an intake form to help us get started, and you’ll also have a chance to review an agreement outlining how we’ll work together.

3.

Start your therapy journey

We’ll meet weekly, for 50-minute sessions, online or face-to-face. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges at a pace that feels right for you, as you take steps toward greater clarity, calm, and self-understanding.
